Doctor Thad is a board certified family medicine doctor who specializes in all of you. We are devoted to providing continuing and comprehensive primary care to include a range of acute, chronic and preventive medical care services to all genders, diseases and parts of the body. We take care of patients that range from ages 01 day old and older. We care for infants, children, adolescents, adults and geriatric patients. Doctor Thad also coordinates your medical care when other medical specialists are involved in your care. As part of our care for you, we provide a variety of medical services:

  • Healthcare Seminars – Doctor Thad provides informative medical presentations that engages and motivates audience participation regarding hypertension, diabetes, hypercholesterolemia, childhood vaccinations and more.

  • Holistic Medicine – We incorporate homeopathic methods to utilize nutrition and a variety of foods to help combat illness. We embrace every opportunity to develop a balanced treatment approach among body, mind and spirit.

  • History and Physical Examinations – We ask the questions that matter and are essential to getting to the core of the manner. Physical examination further assists us in directing any necessary studies such as laboratory blood draws, imaging or referrals.

  • Acute and Chronic Visits – Some illnesses are of recent occurrence but some have been ongoing for months or years. We help you manage both.

  • Same Day Appointments – Although we prefer you to schedule a visit, we sometimes understand that may not be possible. Therefore, we welcome walk-ins.

  • Preoperative Assessments – We offer same day preoperative assessments to improve your postoperative course. These preoperative assessments include physical examination complete with procedural studies, laboratory blood draws and x-rays. Other imaging may require a short turnaround time.

  • Department of Transportation Physical Examinations – A physical examination to determine if a person is physically qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle.

  • Prevention and Wellness Examinations – Knowing your current state of health and how to prevent future illnesses is important. We conduct an in-depth interview with you to find essential facts that encourage prevention and wellness. In addition, we provide a focused physical examination and discussion of potential homeopathic interventions to guide your personal visit.

  • Fecal Occult Blood Testing – A screening test useful in diagnosing the etiology of anemia and /or a gastrointestinal bleed.

  • Ankle-Brachial Index – A study to investigate vascular perfusion to screen for peripheral artery disease. Peripheral artery disease is linked to a higher risk of heart attack or stroke.

  • Spirometric Examinations – Studies to investigate pulmonary function, specifically the amount (volume) and/or speed (flow) of air that can be inhaled and exhaled. This allows proper assessment of asthma, pulmonary fibrosis, cystic fibrosis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

  • Echocardiogram – A sonogram study of the heart to evaluate the valvular function and ejection fraction of the heart. Clearly stated, it is a study that tells how well the heart pumps blood to our vital organs (brain, lungs, liver, etc.). It is used in the diagnosis, management and follow-up of patients with any suspected or known heart diseases.

  • Stress Testing– A study done to determine the amount of stress that your heart can manage before developing either an abnormal rhythm or evidence of not enough blood flow to your heart muscle. It also determines the likelihood of having coronary heart disease among the coronary arteries, which perfuse the heart.

  • General Medical Evaluations – Focus office visits that require focused history and physical examination that lead to proven resolutions that incorporate prevention and wellness.

  • School Sports Physicals – History and physical examination, which answers the basic question, “Can I actively participate in physical sports?”

  • Papanicolaou Test (Pap Smear) – A screening test used to detect potentially precancerous and cancerous processes in the endocervical canal of the female reproductive system.

  • Electrocardiogram Testing – A study to evaluate the electrical activity of the heart to discover heart rate and regularity of heartbeats as well as the size and position of the chambers, the presence of any damage to heart, and the effects of drugs or devices used to regulate the heart such as a pacemaker.

  • Holter Monitor (Ambulatory Electrocardiography) – A portable device that records electrical signals from the heart by electrodes attached to your chest. These electrodes are connected to a small piece of equipment that is attached to the patient’s belt or hung around the neck, and is responsible for keeping a log of the heart’s electrical activity throughout the recording period used to detect heart arrhythmias.

  • Proctoscopy – A procedure that allows examination of the anal cavity, rectum or sigmoid colon for various pathologic problems such as hemorrhoids or rectal polyps.

  • Well Child Examinations – We provide physical examinations for children from ages 01 year old and older. These examinations are important to prevent and correct problems early during the important developmental years of your child.

  • Sexually Transmitted Disease Screenings – Screening for all sexually transmitted diseases and management for disease symptoms and prevention during your office visit.

  • Personal Injury Examinations – Examinations that document your physical findings to assist you regarding your personal injury case.

  • Vision and Hearing Screenings – Important component of special examinations for the prevention of vision and hearing loss such as Well Child Examinations and Department of Transportation Examinations.

  • Prostate Examinations – Screening examinations for detecting prostate cancer by digital rectal examinations.

  • Telemedicine – Review of your clinical studies with consultation regarding interpretation, prevention and treatment by means of telecommunications technology.

  • Limited Pain Management – We do not like pain and will use all our resources in an effort to make your pain tolerable and compatible with your activities of daily living.

  • Motivational Interviewing – A directive communication for prevention and change of behavior regarding smoking cessation, weight loss and alcohol abuse. We will assist you with identifying your goals and focus on achieving them together. When utilizing motivational interviewing, our healthcare provider: (1) collaborates and empowers the patient; (2) supports and respects the patient’s autonomy and problem-solving capability; and (3) develops intrinsic motivation by eliciting change talk from the patient.

  • Home Sleep Monitoring – In home testing to diagnose obstructive sleep apnea. Obstructive sleep apnea causes intermittent anatomical blockage of the upper airway. This blockage causes reduction or cessation of airflow during sleep, resulting in recurrent oxygen desaturation and sympathetic neural activation that leads to nighttime hypertension and cortical arousal. Common manifestations of obstructive sleep apnea are snoring, restless sleep, daytime fatigue, and morning headaches. Untreated cases result in increase risk of cardiac, respiratory and metabolic conditions such as hypertension, stroke, congestive heart failure and sudden death.
